Abhishek Sharma first Indian to hit 100+ T20 sixes in a calendar year

•Abhishek Sharma became the first Indian batter to hit over 100 T20 sixes in a calendar year.
•He scored 62 runs off 34 balls in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT).
•This year, he has accumulated 1,499 T20 runs at an average of 42.82 and a strike rate of 204.22, including three centuries and nine fifties.
•In SMAT 2025, he has scored 304 runs at an average of 50.66 with a strike rate of almost 250, making him the second-highest run-getter.

Why It Matters: This sets a new Indian record for T20 sixes in a calendar year.
