11 West Bengal Luminaries Honored with Padma Shri Awards

• Eleven accomplished individuals from West Bengal across various fields will receive the Padma Shri awards this year.
• Prominent awardees include Bengali actor Prosenjit Chatterjee, tabla maestro Kumar Bose, and santoor innovator Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya.
• Educationists Ashok Kumar Halder and Gambhir Singh Yonzone are recognized for their contributions to literature, education, environmental conservation, and social service.
• Posthumous honor for theatre personality Hari Madhab Mukhopadhyay; Jyotish Debnath for muslin Jamdani art; and Dr. Mahendra Nath Roy for education and research.
• Santhali author Rabilal Tudu, cardiologist Saroj Mandal, and Kantha embroiderer Tripti Mukherjee are also among the recipients.
