•Arunachal Home Minister Mama Natung announced 165 militants surrendered in Tirap, Changlang, and Longding districts over the last six years.
•Militants from various groups like NSCN (Isak-Muivah), ENNG, and ULFA (I) laid down arms, with 159 surrendering between January 2020 and December 2025.
•Surrendered cadres receive benefits under the government's rehabilitation scheme, including Rs 1.4 crore financial aid and vocational training.
•A rehabilitation camp at Bhismaknagar is operational; the scheme now includes an additional Rs 6,000 stipend and Rs 109.10 lakh for infrastructure.
•Minor offense cases may be withdrawn, but heinous crimes like murder or rape will face legal action, as surrender is not amnesty.
