76-year-old killed by SUV in Delhi, driver apprehended

• A 76-year-old man, Paik Karmai, was killed after being hit by an SUV in east Delhi's Gazipur area.
• The incident occurred near a petrol pump on the service road of National Highway-24.
• The SUV, driven by Shrey Kumar (26) from Noida, allegedly skidded after hitting a divider and mounted the footpath.
• Paik Karmai, a West Bengal native residing in Gazipur village, was heading to work at the flower mandi with co-workers.
• The driver was apprehended at the scene, while other occupants of the vehicle fled; efforts are underway to locate them.
