Ahmad Vahidi Appointed IRGC Commander Amid Iran's National Crisis
•Gen. Ahmad Vahidi appointed commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) following Mohammad Fakhpour's assassination.
•Vahidi, a former Quds Force commander, is wanted by Interpol since 2007 for the 1994 AMIA bombing in Buenos Aires.
•His appointment comes amidst a national crisis in Iran, following reported devastating U.S.-Israeli airstrikes.
•These airstrikes, codenamed "Operation Epic Fury," reportedly killed several top leaders, including the previous IRGC chief Mohammad Pakpour and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
•Interpol issued a red notice for Vahidi's arrest at Argentina's request for his alleged involvement in the AMIA Jewish community center bombing that killed 85 people.
