Allahabad HC Rejects IRS Officer's Bail in Rs 1.5 Cr GST Bribery Case

•Bhandari, former CGST deputy commissioner at Jhansi, was accused of demanding a bribe to settle a GST evasion case.
•The CBI recovered Rs 70 lakh from a co-accused during a trap operation.
•Court cited recorded conversations linking Bhandari to the bribery transaction and lack of cooperation during investigation.
•Despite the applicant being pregnant and having a young child, the court found no grounds for bail, but directed expedited trial.
