Bihar Urges Centre to Release Rs 3,000 Cr PMAY-G Funds

Bihar government requests Centre to release pending Rs 3,000 crore under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna Gramin (PMAY-G).

State Rural Development Minister Sharwan Kumar confirmed the request in the state assembly.

Bihar seeks funds for distribution to beneficiaries without a Single Nodal Agency (SNA) account.

The state is in the process of creating its own SNA account but needs funds released before March 31, 2026.

Over 12.08 lakh pucca houses approved under PMAY-G; 11.35 lakh beneficiaries received first installment.
