• The Indian senior women’s national football team, known as the Blue Tigresses, defeated Russian side Zvezda-2005 Perm 2-0 in a friendly match in Antalya, Türkiye.
• Anju Tamang opened the scoring in the ninth minute, while Lynda Kom Serto sealed the victory with a late goal in the 89th minute.
• This marks the Blue Tigresses' third friendly win in Türkiye as part of their preparations for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026.
• India will play one more friendly against FK Csíkszereda Miercurea Ciuc of Romania on February 7 before heading to Australia on February 10.
• Their AFC Women’s Asian Cup campaign begins on March 4 against Vietnam in Perth, followed by matches against Japan and Chinese Taipei.
