•The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) initiated snow clearance operations in East Sikkim on Sunday.
•The efforts aim to restore traffic to key areas including Nathula, Tsomgo Lake, Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, and Zuluk.
•Roads from Gangtok to Tsomgo Lake and Nathula were closed Saturday due to heavy snowfall.
•Sikkim Tourism Department and Project Swastik are monitoring the situation to ensure safe routes for travelers.
•IMD issued an avalanche alert for high-altitude areas of Sikkim for 24 hours on Saturday.
