BSE Index Services Launches Two New G-Sec Indices

• BSE Index Services Pvt Ltd introduced two new G-Sec Indices: BSE 4-8 Year G-Sec Index and BSE 8-13 Year G-Sec Index.
• Indices are reconstituted monthly, have a base value of 100 (first value date: August 31, 2015), and are weighted by Turnover and Outstanding Amount.
• BSE 4-8 Year G-Sec Index tracks top 3 most liquid Government Securities with 4-8 year residual maturity and over Rs 7500 Crore outstanding issuance.
• BSE 8-13 Year G-Sec Index measures top 3 most liquid Government Securities with 8-13 year residual maturity and over Rs 7,500 Crore outstanding issuance.
• These indices can be used for passive strategies like ETFs, Index Funds, and for benchmarking PMS strategies, MF schemes, and fund portfolios.
