Calcutta University to Host Convocation After Six Years on March 23
•Calcutta University will hold its convocation on March 23 at its College Street campus after a six-year hiatus.
•The last convocation was held in 2020 at Nazrul Mancha, with the last on-campus event in 2016.
•Vice-Chancellor Ashutosh Ghosh confirmed verbal approvals for the ceremony at the Centenary Auditorium.
•West Bengal Governor RN Ravi will preside over the event, with IIT Kharagpur Director Suman Chakraborty delivering the keynote.
•Around 1,100 research scholars will receive degrees, and honorary degrees will be conferred upon Vijay Pandurang Bhatkar, Ranajit Das, and Father Thomas Chatamparampil.
