CBI Nabs Delhi Police ASI for Bribery, Arrests Absconder in Bank Fraud Case
- •CBI arrested a Delhi Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) from PS Paschim Vihar for demanding and accepting a Rs. 15,000 bribe.
- •The ASI allegedly demanded Rs. 25,000 to favor the complainant's brother in a bail case and threatened further implication.
- •CBI laid a trap and caught the ASI red-handed on February 7 while accepting the bribe.
- •In a separate operation, CBI arrested Krishnamurti Raghunath, an absconder in three bank fraud cases from Bengaluru.
- •Raghunath, a former Branch Manager, was involved in a conspiracy causing a loss of approximately Rs. 38.25 Lakhs to Bharat Overseas Bank Ltd.
