CM Naidu: Andhra Govt Firmly Committed to Minority Welfare & Development
•CM Naidu affirmed the TDP-led NDA government's commitment to the welfare and development of Muslims and other minority communities in Andhra Pradesh.
•Highlighted initiatives include NTR Bharosa pension for 4.3 lakh Muslims (Rs 3,510 cr/annum) and Thalliki Vandanam for 4.5 lakh Muslim students (Rs 15,000/annum/child).
•Post-matric scholarships (Rs 240 cr for 19,200 beneficiaries) and Deepam 2 scheme (3 free gas cylinders for 6.2 lakh families) are also being provided.
•Monetary benefits for Imams and Mouzans, clearing Rs 45 crore arrears, and Rs 193 crore financial assistance to 33,200 beneficiaries.
•Urdu declared second official language; Haj Houses in Kadapa, Vijayawada to open; minority welfare budget increased to Rs 6,090 crore.
