Sukhu boosts doctor stipends, caps shifts, funds medical colleges in Himachal

• CM Sukhu announced an "incentive policy" for doctors and increased monthly stipends for resident doctors in Himachal Pradesh.
• PG resident doctors' stipends will rise to Rs 50k (1st yr), Rs 60k (2nd yr), and Rs 65k (3rd yr); senior residents to Rs 1 lakh, and super-specialty to Rs 1.3 lakh.
• Resident doctors' working hours capped at a maximum of 12 hours, down from previous shifts of up to 36 hours.
• Rs 5 crore each allocated to five medical colleges for bone marrow infrastructure development.
