CM Yadav Launches 'Jal Ganga Samvardhan' Phase 3, Pledges Rs 2,500 Cr for Water Projects
•Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav launched the third phase of the ‘Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan’ on Gudi Padwa in Indore.
•CM Yadav performed 'bhoomi pujan' for renovation of three major water bodies under AMRUT 2.0, totaling over Rs 21 crore.
•The statewide campaign will run for three and a half months, concluding on June 30, with 18 departments participating.
•The government aims to undertake water conservation and storage works worth Rs 2,500 crore this year, focusing on new ponds, river revival, and groundwater recharge.
•Special emphasis will be on maintaining over 10,000 check dams and stop dams across all 55 districts to enhance irrigation and groundwater.
