CMRL Phase II: Poonamallee-Porur Metro Line Gets Safety Nod, Ready for Launch

•Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety grants authorization for CMRL's Poonamallee Bypass Metro to Porur Junction stretch.
•This approval clears the way for the formal inauguration of the 14.6-km stretch of Corridor 4 (Yellow Line).
•The stretch includes 10 stations, marking a significant milestone for Chennai Metro Rail Limited's Phase II project.
•Trains will initially operate at 15-minute intervals between Poonamallee Bypass and Porur Junction.
•Operation between Porur Junction and Vadapalani is contingent on completing 26 deck slabs by March 25.
