CPN-UML Announces Two-Week Protests Over Oli's Arrest in Nepal
•CPN-UML to launch two-week-long protests starting April 11 against the arrest of former Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli.
•Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak were arrested for alleged involvement in suppressing last year’s Gen Z protest, which resulted in 76 deaths.
•The arrests followed the Balendra Shah government's decision to implement the probe commission's report on the Gen Z protests.
•Protests will include demonstrations in municipalities, wards, provincial capitals, and a grand rally in Kathmandu on April 25.
•CPN-UML deems the arrests illegal and unconstitutional, vowing to fight politically and legally, both on streets and in parliament.
