The Central Tibetan Administration commemorated the 86th anniversary of the 14th Dalai Lama's enthronement in McLeodganj.

Four-year-old Tenzin Gyatso was enthroned on February 22, 1940, at the Potala Palace in Tibet.
•
Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi attended as the chief guest, hoisting the Indian tricolour.
•
Satyarthi emphasized that the recognition of a future Dalai Lama rests solely within Tibetan Buddhist traditions, not political authority.
•
Sikyong Penpa Tsering highlighted the Dalai Lama’s message of compassion, nonviolence, and universal responsibility.
