Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Flags Off 300 New EV Buses, Boosts Public Transport

•Delhi CM Rekha Gupta flagged off 300 new electric vehicle (EV) buses, increasing Delhi's total fleet to 6,100 buses.
•The government aims to transform Delhi's public transport fleet entirely electric and has initiated interstate bus services to Ghaziabad.
•A foundation stone was laid for a new Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) office near the IP depot.
•Nearly Rs 24 crore in EV subsidies are being disbursed to 12,877 eligible beneficiaries, addressing pending subsidies since 2023.
•CM Gupta also consulted with gig workers and Shramiks for the upcoming state budget, focusing on formal employment and urban infrastructure.
