Delhi: Head Constable Robbed of Service Pistol, Shot At in Safdarjung Enclave

• Two men allegedly robbed a Delhi Police head constable, Rajkumar, of his service pistol and opened fire at him in southwest Delhi’s Safdarjung Enclave.
• The incident occurred on January 22 when the head constable was on routine patrol and confronted two individuals consuming intoxicants in nearby bushes.
• During a scuffle, the accused snatched his government-issued pistol and fired a shot, which the constable narrowly dodged by grabbing the assailant's hand.
• The assailants fled towards Outer Ring Road in the IIT direction, with one forcing a motorcyclist at gunpoint to drive towards Hauz Khas.
• A case has been registered at Safdarjung Enclave police station, and police are examining CCTV footage to identify and trace the accused.
