DGCA at fault for VSR Ventures non-compliance, says Rohit Pawar
•NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar attacked DGCA, alleging it initially tried to give VSR Ventures a "clean chit" before admitting safety lapses.
•VSR Ventures operated the Learjet 45 aircraft that crashed near Baramati on January 28, killing Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and four others.
•Pawar questioned DGCA's role, stating that if VSR is at fault, then DGCA is also responsible for airworthiness certificates and maintenance.
•He called the DGCA's latest safety audit report, which found non-compliances and grounded VSR Ventures' aircraft, a "partial success" of his demands.
•Pawar demanded the resignation of Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu and strict action against VSR Ventures' owner and DGCA officials.
