Dutch National Arrested for Sending 'Strange Parcel' to Bengaluru Airport

• A 65-year-old Dutch national of Indian origin, Subhash Jai Ajeez, was arrested for sending a peculiar parcel to Kempegowda International Airport's administrative office.
• The parcel, sent in January, contained items like a toothpaste cover, decaying flower garlands, rotten tomatoes, iron pieces, and obscene photographs.
• Ajeez claimed the parcel was part of a ritual to prevent 'untoward incidents' at the airport and admitted sending similar parcels to other airports.
• Police traced Ajeez in Madiwala and noted he appeared mentally disturbed, despite being an OCI cardholder and a retired professional receiving a substantial pension.
• He has been remanded to judicial custody, with further action pending his medical examination reports and ongoing investigation.
