ED arrests 2 CAs in Rs 641 Cr cyber fraud; one assaulted officials during raid

ED arrested CAs Ashok Kumar Sharma and Bhaskar Yadav after they surrendered in a Rs 641 crore cyber fraud money laundering case.
•
Sharma allegedly assaulted ED officials during a 2024 raid in Bijwasan, Delhi, and then fled; Yadav also absconded.
•
The fraud involved inducing people to transfer funds for fake investment schemes, part-time jobs, QR code scams, and phishing operations.
•
Laundered funds were routed through mule accounts, shell entities, UAE-based PYYPL cards, and converted to crypto via Binance.
•
Their anticipatory bail pleas were rejected by PMLA court and Delhi HC; Supreme Court directed Yadav to surrender.
