Jabalpur: Elderly man loses ₹21.5 lakh in "digital arrest" scam

• A 72-year-old retired government employee in Jabalpur lost Rs 21.5 lakh to cyber fraudsters.
• The scammers posed as ATS officers and subjected him to a "digital arrest" for three days.
• They falsely accused him of terror funding, threatened arrest, and monitored him via video call from 9 am to 7 pm daily.
• The victim was coerced into transferring money in installments and revealing property details, with fraudsters using forged Ministry of Defence documents.
