Elderly Woman Murdered, Robbed in Bengaluru; Paralysed Husband Present

• A 69-year-old woman, Shobha, was murdered and robbed of gold ornaments at her Nelamangala residence.
• Her paralysed, bedridden husband was present during the incident; Shobha was his sole caregiver for a decade.
• Accused Shivakumar, a local shop owner, was arrested for the crime, allegedly to clear an Rs 8 lakh debt.
• Shivakumar entered Shobha's home under the guise of asking for water, then attacked and slit her throat.
• He fled with over 100 grams of gold jewellery; police identified and tracked him via CCTV footage.
