Fake IB Officer Arrested in Delhi After Impersonating, Using Forged IDs

• Delhi Police arrested Vimal Bhat alias Sonu, a Ghaziabad resident, for impersonating an IB officer and deceiving people in east Delhi.
• Bhat was apprehended from Patparganj Industrial Area on January 29, after being declared a proclaimed offender in a 2017 case.
• He used a fake IB identity card, police stickers on his vehicle, a siren, and a loud hailer to project authority and instill fear.
• Recoveries from him included a fake IB ID, walkie-talkie, police accessories, and a forged Ministry of Home Affairs ID.
• Bhat is also involved in other cases, including cheating, rape, and unnatural offenses in Udhampur, Nawabad, and Naraina.
