Farmer mauled to death by tiger in UP's Dudhwa buffer zone

A 50-year-old farmer, Pargat Singh, was killed by a tiger in the Sampurnanagar forest range of the Dudhwa buffer zone, Lakhimpur Kheri, UP.
•
The tiger attacked Singh on Friday evening in his sugarcane fields; his partially eaten body was found on Saturday.
•
Forest officials sent the body for postmortem, and compensation will be provided to the family after the report.
•
Deputy Director Kirti Chaudhary noted frequent big cat movements and urged residents to remain vigilant.
•
Villagers have demanded fencing in the area and the capture of the tiger.
