Former Sarpanch Booked for Opium Cultivation in Maharashtra

•A case has been registered against a former village sarpanch in Maharashtra's Dharashiv district for allegedly cultivating opium.
•The accused, Samadhan Ughade, a Shiv Sena (UBT) worker, is currently absconding.
•Police raided Dasegaon after receiving information about opium farming.
•Authorities seized approximately 400 kg of opium flowers, valued at Rs 72 lakh.
•An FIR was filed at Washi police station under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, and a search is underway for Ughade.
