Govt: No FOPL awareness campaign by WCD Ministry

Ministry of Women and Child Development has no proposal for a Front-of-Pack Labelling (FOPL) awareness campaign.
•
Minister Annpurna Devi informed Rajya Sabha, defining "hidden hunger" and HFSS foods as per ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition.
•
States/UTs advised to limit added sugar in supplementary nutrition and avoid HFSS foods.
•
Oil and sugar boards installed at Anganwadi centres and public locations to sensitize households on hidden sugar/oil.
•
FSSAI undertakes "Eat Right India", "Aaj se Thoda Kam", "Stop Obesity", and "Fight Obesity" campaigns.
