Haryana CM Doubles Grant for 'Outstanding' Panchayats to Rs 1 Lakh

• Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini announced doubling the incentive grant for 'outstanding panchayats' from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh.
• Criteria for selection include preventing atrocities against Scheduled Castes, full utilization of SC Component funds, anti-drug campaigns, preventing stubble burning, and resolving drinking water issues.
• CM Saini directed that charge sheets in SC/ST cases be filed within 60 days for quick disposal, aligning with new criminal laws.
• He noted a decline in crimes against women (including SC women), robbery, property-related crimes, and threats since 2021.
• Officials were instructed to take immediate action on atrocities against Scheduled Castes and also act against false complaints; financial assistance of Rs 8.84 crore was provided to 796 victims in 2025-26.
