Haryana Police to Get 5,000 Body Cameras, New ATS & Women Police Stations
•Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini announced the procurement of 5,000 body-worn cameras for police personnel over the next three years, with 5,000 cameras proposed for next year.
•Seven new women police stations will be established in Loharu, Barwala, Narwana, Samalkha, Meham, Radaur, and Pehowa, alongside three new cyber crime police stations in Sonipat, Gohana, and Bahadurgarh.
•An Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) will be constituted under an Inspector General of Police, with ATS police stations in Gurugram and Panchkula, including women commandos.
•The British-era Punjab Police Rules (1934) will be replaced by new Haryana Police Rules to create a modern, citizen-centric force.
•New district jails in Fatehabad, Charkhi Dadri, Panchkula, and a high-security prison in Rohtak are planned, with petrol pumps to be opened in eight jails.
