Hyderabad Police Busts Illegal Stale Meat Racket, Seizes 12 Tonnes of Offal

• Hyderabad Police, in a joint operation, busted an illegal racket storing and selling stale sheep and goat offal.
• Approximately 12 tonnes of spoiled offal, valued at Rs 10 lakh, were seized from a store near Akbari Masjid, Mangalhat.
• Rafi Ahmed, the store manager, was apprehended, while owner Mohd Afroz is absconding.
• The accused illegally procured stale offal, stored it to delay decomposition, and supplied it as fresh produce to events and hotels, endangering public health.
• A case has been registered, and the absconding owner, Mohd Afroz, has a history of similar offenses and fines from GHMC.
