IIT-Madras to launch Applied AI Innovation Centre in Dubai

• IIT-Madras's Global Research Foundation will establish its first Applied AI Innovation Centre at Dubai CommerCity.
• The centre aims to boost technology-led economic growth and position Dubai as a global hub for applied AI innovation.
• Initially, it will host six applied AI startups with a combined valuation of USD 118 million and projected revenues of USD 281 million over five years.
• The initiative, facilitated by MCA Gulf, strengthens the India-UAE technology corridor under the CEPA and aligns with Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
• Prof Raghunathan Rengaswamy highlighted the centre's role in globalising IIT-Madras's research and bridging academic breakthroughs with industrial scale.
