India-France Eyeing €300 Million SCALP Missile Deal for IAF

• India and France are considering a €300 million deal for SCALP cruise missiles for the Indian Air Force.
• SCALP missiles were previously used by the IAF in Operation Sindoor to destroy Jaish-e-Mohamed and Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist headquarters in Pakistan.
• Rafale jets deployed SCALP and BrahMos missiles to obliterate targets in Pakistan's Muridke and Bahawalpur districts.
• The IAF plans to acquire additional 114 Rafale combat aircraft and Meteor air-to-air missiles, with a total Rafale fleet projected to reach 200.
• SCALP missiles will also be integrated into the 26 Rafale Marine fighters ordered for the Indian Navy.
