  • The concessions are part of a framework for the first phase of a bilateral trade agreement, expected to be signed by mid-March.
  • Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal stated that India will provide quota-based tariff concessions on products including DDGs, soybean oil, apples, and long staple cotton.
  • India has opened its markets for US wines and spirits with a minimum import price.
  • The Environment Ministry's prescribed processes for importing GM materials will be followed for DDGs, which are nutrient-rich co-products of ethanol production.
