Indo-Nepal Border Closes March 2 for Nepal Polls, Movement Restricted
•The India-Nepal border will close from midnight March 2 to midnight March 5 due to Nepal's general elections on March 5.
•Nepal's Ministry of Home Affairs issued an official communication for the closure to ensure free and fair elections.
•All border outposts along Banke district adjoining India will be closed during this period.
•Import and export of goods will be suspended, but essential medicines and critical commodities will be allowed.
•Restricted movement will be enforced, with thorough checking and verification for those crossing; Nepali voters and seriously ill patients may be allowed under supervision.
