INS Trikand Concludes Seychelles Port Call, Boosts Maritime Cooperation

• Indian Naval Ship Trikand departed Port Victoria, Seychelles, on March 20 after a port call from March 16.
• Captain Sachin Kulkarni met with Seychelles government officials and India's High Commissioner.
• INS Trikand participated in the first tri-services Exercise Lamitiye 2026 with Indian Army, Air Force, and Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF), marking the Indian Navy's maiden involvement.
• The exercise included VBSS training, joint boarding drills, and operations at sea with SCGS Le Vigilant, involving Indian Navy Marine Commandos and SDF Special Forces.
• The port call reinforces India's MAHASAGAR vision and the Indian Navy's role as a Preferred Security Partner and First Responder in the Indian Ocean Region.
