Iran Blocks 3 Pakistani Ships from Strait of Hormuz Amid Rising Tensions
•Iran stopped three Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) vessels – Karachi, Lahore, and Khairpur – from entering the Strait of Hormuz.
•The ships, carrying Pakistani crew, were transporting oil and were instructed to anchor at Fujairah port (Lahore, Khairpur) and Gwadar port (Karachi).
•Iran's IRGC warned that the Strait of Hormuz is closed to all maritime traffic due to regional instability and US-Israel strikes.
•The Strait of Hormuz is a critical oil export route and a strategically significant maritime choke point.
•Separately, clashes near the US Consulate in Karachi resulted in 9 deaths, and Iran claimed attacks on US assets in the Indian Ocean and Kuwait.
