Jagan Alleges Public Health Breakdown in Andhra, Cites Diarrhoea & Food Poisoning Outbreaks
- •YSRCP supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy slammed the TDP-led government over a complete breakdown of public health administration in Andhra Pradesh.
- •He highlighted repeated outbreaks of diarrhoea and food poisoning, including 25 food poisoning cases in hostels affecting over 900 students in 14 months.
- •Reddy cited an incident at Kurupam Tribal Welfare girls school where 16 students fell sick with diarrhoea, and two previously died from water contamination.
- •Major diarrhoea outbreaks in Chebrolu, Vijayawada, Guntur, Gurla, Srikakulam, and Turakapalam have caused hundreds to fall sick and die.
- •He mentioned a recent Srikakulam outbreak from contaminated water claiming five lives and a Rajamahendravaram incident with adulterated milk leading to seven deaths.
