Jaishankar urges UNHRC, UN bodies to advocate zero-tolerance for terrorist acts
•External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar emphasized India's firm opposition to terrorism in all forms, stating there can be no justification for targeting innocent lives.
•Jaishankar urged the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and the UN to advocate zero-tolerance for terrorist acts, highlighting that confronting terrorism requires collective resolve.
•Addressing the 61st session of the UNHRC virtually, he stressed India's approach of dialogue over confrontation and human-centric development.
•He stated that India believes human rights are best advanced through dialogue, capacity-building, and genuine partnerships, not politicization or double standards.
•Jaishankar also highlighted India's humanitarian outreach, digital public infrastructure as a global public good, and its commitment to human rights rooted in 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'.
