Jammu Shuts Down Six Spa Centers Over Regulatory Violations; Legal Action Looms

• Six spa and massage centers in Jammu were closed for violating regulatory norms following an inspection drive.
• District Magistrate Jammu, Rakesh Minhas, ordered the comprehensive inspection, led by Additional Deputy Commissioners Ansuya Jamwal and Vidhu Shekhar.
• Violations included lack of mandatory undertaking, cross-gender services, door locks in private cabins, and malfunctioning CCTV cameras.
• Notices were issued to K Crystal Spa, Evergreen Thai Therapy Centre, Touch of Magic, The Bubble Spa, the Golden Thai Unisex Spa, and Health Ayurveda Spa and Salon.
• Authorities warned of further police and legal action under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against owners, managers, and employees.
