Jharkhand: Woman Among 5 Assaulted Over Child Theft Suspicion

• Five individuals, including a woman, were assaulted in separate incidents across Jharkhand due to child theft suspicions.
• Two snake charmers from West Bengal were held hostage and beaten in East Singhbhum district on Maha Shivratri.
• A honey seller was also held hostage in Ghatshila sub-division on similar suspicions; police intervened.
• A person beaten in Chatra district is in critical condition and admitted to RIMS Ranchi.
• A mentally challenged woman was assaulted in Bokaro district and later rescued by police, handed over to an NGO.
