•Union Minister Jitendra Singh laid the foundation stone for a dedicated BioFoundry Centre in Mohali.
•The project, under the Department of Biotechnology, has an outlay of approximately Rs 42 crore.
•The centre will serve as a national platform for developing and scaling advanced biomanufacturing processes, focusing on agri-food biotechnology.
