Kaka Nagar Becomes Delhi's First Fully Mechanized, Dust-Free 'Anupam Colony'

• NDMC declares Kaka Nagar as the sixth 'Anupam Colony' and the first in Delhi to fully adopt a mechanized, dust-free cleaning system.
• All sweeping and cleaning operations in Kaka Nagar will now be carried out using machines like five push-back mechanical sweepers and one gobbler machine, replacing traditional broom-based methods.
• The initiative aims to significantly reduce dust emissions, improve ambient air quality, and promote sustainable urban sanitation.
• 12 wire-mesh composting units have been installed for wet and horticultural waste, with compost distributed to residents under the "Geela Kuda Lao, Khaad Le Jao" initiative.
• An RRR Centre and a "Neki Ki Diwaar" have been set up to encourage citizen participation in donating reusable items and segregating recyclables.
