•CM Vijayan praised Samson for his significant contributions to India’s T20 World Cup 2026-winning campaign.
•Samson was named Player of the Tournament, amassing 321 runs in five innings at an average of 80.25 and a strike rate of 199.37.
•He surpassed Virat Kohli's record for most runs by an Indian in a single T20 World Cup edition.
•India successfully defended their T20 World Cup title, becoming the first team to win on home soil and secure three titles (2007, 2024, 2026).
