He cited a lack of opportunities for conducting toss and presentation ceremonies as the reason for ending his broadcasting career.

Sivaramakrishnan expressed deep dissatisfaction, noting newcomers were given roles he was denied for 23 years.
•
He hinted at 'colour discrimination' when a user suggested it, stating, 'You are right. Colour Discrimination.'
•
Siva played nine Tests and 16 ODIs for India, and was a key player in the 1985 Benson & Hedges World Championship win.
