Maharashtra Class 12 Board Exams Begin: 1.5 Million Students Appear, Strict Vigilance in Place

  • Over 1.5 million students appeared for the Maharashtra Class 12 board exams on the first day, covering science, arts, commerce, vocational, and TechSci streams.
  • Exams are held in two shifts daily (11 am-2 pm and 3 pm-6 pm) across 10,664 junior colleges and 3,387 main centers, concluding on March 11.
  • Strict measures include 95% of centers equipped with CCTV cameras, special inspection teams, and vigilance committees at state and district levels.
  • Photocopy shops within a 500-meter radius of exam centers are closed during the examination period to prevent malpractices.
  • A total of 799,773 students are in science, 380,692 in arts, 320,152 in commerce, 27,378 in vocational, and 4,492 in ITIs.
