Mamata Banerjee Resigns from 23 Offices Ahead of Bengal Polls
•West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee resigned from 23 offices and positions she held across various departments and affiliated bodies.
•The resignations come ahead of the West Bengal Assembly polls, where she is contesting from the Bhabanipur seat.
•She stepped down from roles including head of state health mission, chairperson of the state wildlife board, and the governing body of the West Bengal Urdu Academy.
•Banerjee also resigned as chief of the organising committee of the Bangla Sangeet Mela and head of state SC and Tribes advisory councils.
•State departments have been directed to initiate necessary steps for acceptance of her resignations and submit a compliance report.
