Marathwada Rains: 2 Dead, 230 Villages Hit, 19,000 Hectares of Crops Damaged

Unseasonal rains and hailstorms in Marathwada damaged crops in 230 villages.
•
Two persons, Digamber Belkunde (60) and Vishakha Yelkewad, died due to lightning strikes in Latur and Nanded.
•
Over 27,000 farmers suffered losses on approximately 19,000 hectares of land.
•
Latur, Beed, and Nanded districts were severely affected, with Latur recording the highest crop damage.
•
Four animals also perished, and 14 'kutcha' houses sustained partial damage.
