•BSP chief Mayawati questioned Congress's proposal to confer Bharat Ratna on BSP founder Kanshi Ram if it comes to power.
•She accused Congress of attempting to weaken the BSP and using Kanshi Ram's name for political gains.
•Mayawati highlighted Congress's past failure to honor B R Ambedkar with Bharat Ratna and not declaring national mourning for Kanshi Ram.
•The Congress passed a resolution at a 'Samvidhan Sammelan' in Lucknow to award Bharat Ratna to Kanshi Ram if voted to power.
•Rahul Gandhi stated that if Jawaharlal Nehru were alive, Kanshi Ram would have been a Chief Minister from the Congress.
